Curly Purly...from the closet

Just finished up the diaper cover that had been sitting in my knitting bag, tucked away in my closet for months and months. If I had just done it, I could have gotten several months of use out of it by now.

At least it will be a while before he is potty trained at night. And these soakers do make good night time diaper covers.

I didn't include any short rows in it. I haven't tried it on him yet, but I think it will be a trim fit. I really like how the colors turned out. I have a metric ton of this yarn left over so I will have to think of some neat things to make with it. I think a scarf/hat combo for the white elephant next year might be nice.

I think this is the first thing I've knitted start to finish with no major issues. Granted, it's a pretty straight forward pattern, but it allows me to be a little more confident in my knitting. We'll see if I'm still saying that after my next project: fingerless gloves!

Ahem

Ever have a blog that you sort of...forgot about?

Yeah, that would be this one. I haven't stopped knitting. I took a bit of a hiatus from it, but I still do it! In fact, on the needles right now, I am finishing up the cuffs for yet another diaper cover for my son (who of course is starting to potty train...). I have also cast on and started a pair of fingerless gloves, just in time for the weather to warm up here. I have to work a bit on my timing. I should probably start knitting my winter projects now, since I seem to have ADD about all of this. I will start a project, only to lose interest in it or get distracted from it halfway through and it ends up sitting for months at a time.

So...of course this won't be updated regularly, but I'll try to do it more regularly than every two year.

No promises though.
